I am a native Washingtonian, born at Georgetown Hospital.
While in high school, at St. John's in DC, I became fascinated with the stock pages in the newspaper, and so, with that interest, I went to West Virginia University and graduated in 1980 with a BSBA degree in Finance and Investments.
I put myself through college as a painter and a carpenter's helper.
I first entered the investment business in 1982, at Lang & Co. in Washington, DC, and left there to become a stockbroker at Legg Mason, where I worked until 1989.
I then left the industry physically, but never emotionally, working 16 years with a promotional products firm.
I decided to re-enter the investment field in the fall of 2005 with LPL Financial.
I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world and have been for over 25 years. My wife Sheila and I have 5 children.
